I understand you were using the reference you showed, I just think that maybe it wasn't the best reference. I think for the realism to really show you need a better scene with stuff around for better reflection on reflective objects especially the batteries.

The lighting on the other hand is good and the shadows were great too, its just that the reference is mostly white and silver and the backdrop is also white.

You still did a great job drawing it though. :-)

I think it is a great start. From a visual communication standpoint, you are creating a focal point on the battery at the (apex) of the circle that makes up the cylinder. Said another way the high contrast reflection (b/w) is right in the center, this rarely happens, and often makes the image appear static. The fact that it lines up with the leading edge of the charge makes for a nice focal point, but again reinforces the static imagery. I propose that you move the high contrast reflection to a more 70% 30% relationship of B/W contrast. Lastly I agree with @Louie Mantia in regards to the soft shadows. Drop som white overlays on the areas where the form moves away from us. You do fantastic work, and am always looking forward to more shots from you.

i got a rayovac battery charger and im trying to recharge up 2 AAA batteries they say on them NiMH 1.2V and im also trying to recharge to AA HYBRID batteries they same on them 1.2V 2100 mAh NiMH nickel metal hydride they are both of the rayovac brand

unless the battery is made for rapid charge, the 1/10 capacity is the normal charge time.
