I have a truck and i need install my inverter, but the cable is to short and i need to install 12' foot longer, my inverter is 3000 watts and i don't know what is the most apropiated cable, i found 4.0 awg..

4 gauge is too small. For that size inverter, you need an absolute minimum of 2 gauge wire. 1/0 gauge would be better, especially if it's more than 15' to the battery.
